Biography Sharon Herron
Country Singer / songwriter Sharon Herron hails from Armagh City in Northern Ireland. Sharon only tested her talents in the Country music scene when discovered by the the three-piece country band 'Bakersfield' which began a partnership that would take them to America and perform on stage at the Crystal Palace Theatre with the famous Buck Owens. Nicknamed 'The Cowboy's Sweetheart' by those within the music industry she is tipped to be one of the best female country singers Ireland has produced. Sharon has already received an awarded for the title of 'Most outstanding female Solo Artist' by the Close Contact Music Awards and was commended for her dedication and contribution to country music.
Sharon has appeared alongside many of the best known names within the industry including Brian Coll, Philomena Begley and Susan McCann and has performed backing vocals for various artists in the recording studio including Brian Kennedy's 'Red sails in the Sunset' Album and in live performance for the Galaxy Show band Show with George Jones at the Waterfront.
In 2007 Sharon also hit Ireland by storm when she won her place on TG4's Glor Tire Search for a Country star reaching joint 5th place alongside X Factor Finalist Philip Magee from Larne and it was here that Sharon was recognized for her yodeling ability and encouraged to pursue this avenue of country music.
Sharon recently re-launched her debut album entitled 'Running after you' a self penned song along side her new album 'She loved'. Sharon is currently working on a series of self penned singles and in September this year will be appearing along side Nasville singer Billy Payne and the Gentleman of country Crawford Bell in a series of live concerts at a venue near you.
